The objectives of the NAAASP are to:
- Work towards full integration of NAAASP candidates into the RMI respective constituent associations to grow RMI
- House qualifying businesses as NAAASP candidates on a temporary basis and develop those members to qualify and migrate to the formal economy as a member business of the RMI.
- Source appropriate assistance from different stakeholders in order to implement the necessary interventions.
- Contribute to a balanced demographic representation of businesses in the automotive industry in South Africa.
- Promoting equal and non-discriminatory opportunity for all small business
- Promote partnerships and co-operatives types of businesses.
- Create a comprehensive Incubation program to uplift the status of their businesses.
- Build partnership with other stakeholders and big business to provide assistance for NAAASP candidates, thereby recognising the status of RMI as an economic propeller.
- Encourage Youth Employment, Disabled Employment, Women and Rural Development
- Promote the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance status of the RMI through Enterprise Development (ED) and Socio-Economic Development (SED)
